BASTIAN are a three-piece punk-funk band with an intense and unique sound. The Sydney-based group is being called one of the most exciting live acts in the country.

Bastian’s debut album “Purple Monkey Dishwasher” is the first release in 2009 by the Sydney funk rock trio. The band have been working hard with producer, and Aria award winner, Anton Hagop (Silverchair / Powderfinger) and vocal producer Dan Jenkinson on getting an amazing recording. It’s been 2 years in the making full of their real blood, sweat & tears. This recording really has captured the unique Bastian sound.

The 10 song album features an awesome mix of wicked funk rock riffs and powerful vocal melodies which showcase Bastian’s diverse talent and writing skills. “Purple Monkey Dishwasher” also features the awesome new single “Echo” which has had nation wide airplay on Triple M, been the song for Radar Radio’s nationwide advertising campaign and featured on the main page of Myspace. Echo is set to be played on a variety of stations across the country from this month.

Bastian have been touring extensively over the past few months gracing big stages like The Metro, Annandale Hotel, ANU Bar and The Espy.
