Reverse-Engineered CAD Component Library

A working library of reusable CAD models — LED lights, canopies, wheel guards, rims, filters and hardware — built from physical parts and manufacturer data for use inside larger assemblies.

Overview

Designing trays, canopies and vehicle fitments accurately requires the bought-in parts to exist as models first. This library was built up part by part, each item either measured from the physical component or reconstructed from manufacturer data, then modelled to the level of detail needed for assembly work. Coverage includes Stedi and Roadvision lighting, APB canopy and wheel guard profiles, air circulation vents, a CBR600RR radiator, DNA pod filter, Motocell lithium battery, an 18" 114.3x5 Falcon rim and switch hardware. Every model drops straight into a larger assembly with correct mounting points and clearances.

Key Features

Library of reference models built from physical parts and manufacturer data

Covers LED lighting, canopy panels, wheels, filters and hardware

Accurate external geometry for clearance and mounting checks in assemblies

Mounting holes and fixing points modelled for real fastener placement

Reusable across ute tray, canopy and motorcycle build files

Specifications

Reference Method
Physical part measurement and manufacturer data
Components Modelled
LED lighting, canopy, wheel guards, vents, rim, radiator, pod filter, battery, switches, handlebar and grips
Use Case
Drop-in components for tray, canopy and motorcycle assemblies

Design Process

1

Collect physical parts or manufacturer drawings and dimensional data

2

Measure or scan key features and mounting interfaces

3

Model each component in Fusion 360 to matching outer geometry

4

Add fixing points, connectors and cutout detail where relevant

5

Apply appearances so parts read correctly in assembly renders

6

Insert into larger assemblies to confirm fit before fabrication
