Overview

The fuel pump assembly from a Honda CBR600RR was digitised to provide accurate reference geometry for reverse engineering and replacement part design. The complete assembly was mounted on a marker turntable and scanned with an Einstar 2 handheld scanner in Laser HD mode, chosen for its ability to resolve the small ports, connectors, and mounting flange detail on a part with mixed surface finishes. Scan data was processed in EinStar Hub, with mesh optimisation and curvature-based hole filling applied to close gaps left by occluded areas. The result is a clean, watertight mesh ready to model against in CAD.
