CF-nylon axle sliders designed to slide (not grab) on impact thanks to low friction and high melting point. Includes a two-piece Quad Lock charger mount concept with notes for future improvements (TPU grip layer, nutserts).

Overview

These axle sliders are printed in carbon fibre–infused nylon to prioritise sliding behaviour on impact: nylon’s low friction and high melting point helps prevent catching during a slide, while slight flexibility absorbs shock. Carbon fibre reinforcement adds stiffness and improves layer bonding to resist splitting under stress. The post also includes a handlebar Quad Lock charger mount: a two-piece sliding clamp tightened with a bolt and nyloc nut. The design has proven durable over long-term use, with future improvements identified (TPU grip layer and nutserts).
